Brand strategy can sound ominous,

It’s about getting under the skin of what we are offering and defining our positioning / personality (what we’re all about and what we’re offering) so that we can establish what it is about us that makes us or our product different, special and gives people a reason to want us.

We won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, so it’s important that we understand whom we want to appeal to and why.

Then we’re all set to make whatever budget we have work really hard to deliver a return on your emotional and financial investment.

It’s one thing saying what we think we are, it’s another actually being/ doing it.

It’s important that we genuinely understand and appreciate what makes us different and that our team do too.  We can then reinforce our brand through our corporate culture, our branding, our approach to customer service and our product.

Great people and great brands make this look easy and that’s because it’s real rather than forced. However to achieve this you need to get your thinking straight up front and then carry it through all that you do.

Great brands, big and small, have a brand personality that is reflected internally and externally.

Staying fresh and current means continuously evaluating

  1. Where are we now?

  2. Where do we want to be?

  3. How are we going to get there

  4. How have we done?

 

It’s better not to say I’m great, but to BE GREAT and let others spread the word!
